Editorial: Blogroll…and Bloggers Wanted!

Posted by Sabahat (iFaqeer) on August 15, 2007

One tradition of the blogosphere is a blogroll, a list of blogs that the owners/editors/writers of a blog read, like, etc. You can now see in the righthand column of this site lists of links. So far, we have a list of blogs by NEDians; a list of blogs that NEDians contribute to and/or edit; a list of sarkari sites related to NED, engineering etc.; a list of neem-sarkari sites for alumni, and so on; …

Please contribute entries, suggestions, ideas, etc. for this. You can leave a comment on this post or send me email.

Secondly, we need people to send in material, items, entries, articles, pictures, links, and so on. If you want to contribute more often, please register with the site and send me a request to set you up as a contributor, so you can post material directly.

And most urgently, with the convention fast approaching, if you’re going to be there and can blog from the convention, please do drop a line, so we can set you up to keep NEDians who can’t make it, and everyone else up-to-the-minute during the convention.

    Sabahat,
You’re doing a great job by inspiring others to blog about NED convention before, during and after the event. Obviously, we’d like all of you to join us in person. But if you can not be physically present in San Jose on Sept 8, then you can at least be involved through blog entries by NED bloggers at the convention.

Two of my friends and batch mates of 2002-03 regularly write to their own blog. Faisal Nasim’s blog is already listed and the other is Raza Abbas at razzita.blogspot.com

  4. I invite NEDians and Ex-NEDians to visit the NJ based website South Asian website http://www.despardes.com. It is being run and edited by an Ex-NEDian Mr Irshad Salim who was the literary and debating secretary in 1976-1977, Chairman PSF (Progressive Students Front)in 1979 and was the pioneer and brain behind printing of text books in NED. He walso the chief editor for two years of monthly Maimar newspaper and the annual magazine The Young Engineer. An artist also, most creative work including cover designs were done by him. His “Face to Face” (Ruburoo) programs with Aftab Rizvi were most popular. He now from time to time appears on Voice of America as a Pakistani American political analyst.
