Dear Friends of NED Alumni,On behalf of the steering committee of NED Alumni Association of Silicon Valley, it is with great pleasure that I invite you, your families and your friends to join in celebrating the rich heritage of our alma mater on Sept 8, 2007. NEDUET is a great institution, established in 1920 as Prince of Wales College, that has nurtured us and produced a long, impressive list of alumni that are very successful in Silicon Valley, the United States and elsewhere in the world. You will get to meet many successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, highly experienced executives and visionary researchers and technologists.

This convention will be the third in a series started by Moin Ahmad and others in Houston in 2005 followed by the 2006 convention in New Jersey.

This will be held for the first time in Silicon Valley in California which is home to a large number of NED alumni and premier technology companies of the world.

I’m glad to tell you that our NED alumni have had a major impact in shaping this high-tech valley at well-known large companies such as Cisco and Intel and high-profile startups such as Via, VPNet, Cavium, Open Silicon, Wichorus, Infonox, Vertical Systems etc. Whether it is Intel CPUs, VIA chipsets, Sun Servers, Cavium security processors, or Cisco routers or other high-tech products you may have had the opportunity to use, you will find NED Alumni fingerprints in creating these products.

This event will consist of a full day conference with keynotes and panel discussions with high-profile NEDians and others followed by an evening banquet featuring a keynote, sumptuous Pakistani food, comedy by a well-known professional comedian and music with plenty of opportunity for networking.
