2010 International Alumni Convention (US)

The date and venue for the 2010 International Convention of NEDians has been announced. It is being hosted by NEDEA, the NED Engineers Association based in Chicago, Illinois, in the USA. Details available so far are as follows:

We now have a couple of new things in our sidebar on the right:

• The icons at the top now include an icon that links to pictures of the recent convention held hosted by the NED Alumni Association of New England. (You can also find comments, media reports and more about the convention on their site. There is a formal PDF Report as well.)
• We now have a Twitter feed for this blog that you can subscribe to (just sign on to follow the user “NEDNama“)–or even embed on your own blog or webpage. Check it out.

Obama: What does he mean for the Tech Industry?

One thing I have been wondering about Obama and what he said yesterday is what he means for Silicon Valley and Industry/Tech generally. Specifically, what does it mean to eliminate capital gains for start-ups, and stopping tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas and giving them to companies that create jobs in the US of A?
